Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Who we are

Yomp is operated by Thomas Ludlam, trading as Yomp.Dog. You can reach us at hello@yomp.dog. By using Yomp you agree to these terms.

The service and who can use it

Yomp helps dog owners find dog-friendly pubs, parks, cafés, trails, stays, and other venues. Yomp is free for dog owners.

You must be 18 or over to use Yomp. It is not intended for children, and by using it you confirm that you are at least 18.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to it secure. Tell us at hello@yomp.dog if you think someone else has used it. You can delete your account at any time — see our account-deletion page.

Your contributions

When you submit a dog-friendly vote, attribute, rating, or place report you grant Yomp a perpetual, royalty-free licence to display and aggregate that contribution as part of the service. You confirm that your contribution is honest, accurate to the best of your knowledge, and does not infringe any third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove contributions that we deem abusive, false, or otherwise in breach of these terms. If you delete your account, your individual contributions are removed, but any aggregated, anonymised community data they contributed to may remain part of the service, no longer linked to you.

Venue listings and business claims

If you claim a venue as a business representative, you confirm that you are authorised to act on behalf of that business and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for keeping your venue listing up to date. We reserve the right to revoke a venue claim at any time if we have reason to believe the claim is inaccurate, fraudulent, or no longer valid, and we will notify you where reasonably practicable. Listing a venue on Yomp does not constitute endorsement of your business, its products, or its services. We accept no liability for any loss arising from inaccurate information submitted by a business representative.

Venue Terms

Yomp is free for dog owners. Venues may choose to buy a Yomp Verified tier. Yomp Verified is arranged directly with Yomp on a written order agreed between the venue and Yomp; there is no automated online checkout. Buying a Yomp Verified tier does not change how community dog-friendliness signals are collected or displayed, and it does not entitle a venue to alter or suppress genuine community contributions.

Acceptable use

You may use Yomp for personal purposes only. You must not:

Accuracy of venue information

Venue data is sourced from Google Places and community-contributed signals. Information may be out of date or incomplete. Always check directly with the venue before visiting, particularly regarding their dog policy, opening hours, and access arrangements. We accept no liability for decisions made based on information displayed in the app.

Affiliate links

Some links to venues, accommodation, or products within Yomp may be affiliate links. If you click a link and make a booking or purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep Yomp free for dog owners.

Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, submitted false or abusive content, or misused the service. Where possible we will notify you before suspension. You may appeal by emailing hello@yomp.dog.

Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yomp and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on venue information provided. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects the mandatory rights you have under the law of the country where you live.

Data sources

Venue location data is partly derived from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors), licensed under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Dog-friendly status and attributes are community-contributed signals verified by Yomp users and do not originate from OpenStreetMap.
